We are planning to buy a Islabike Beinn 20 for our 5 year-old son and a follow-me system so we don’t have to take our Burley d’light anymore om our cycleholidays. Our 4 year-old daughter comes along on our add-bike trailerbike. They love cyclingholidays. Never a boring day!

Josh has been using SPDs for about six months. Naturally, he had a difficult first day and a half but fought through cos he wanted to.

Now it’s second nature for him. Biggest difficulty was getting proper cycling shoes in his size (Euro 33). Couldn’t find any in the UK so had to order them from the US. They’re by Answer.

Re leg - I’d love to know.

Looks like you had a good trip. Them Islabikes look great - wish I had had one when I was a lad.

I noticed at least one of your kids was using clipless pedals, did they find using them easy?

And what does an electric leg do?

Great pics Carlton! Looks like the whole family had a great time. I look forward to being able to do such trips with my kids once they’re older (it’ll be a while… one’s not going to be born till later this month).
