The US trade show has announced the ‘Return of The Media Center’ so those not able to get into the show – the public – will be able to watch footage on a variety of bike industry websites.
The 30-x 40-foot Interbike Media Center with TV studio and working news room is designed to help journalists cover news of the show, which runs from September 24-28 in Las Vegas.
It includes a TV studio interview area for media companies or exhibiting manufacturers interested in conducting, recording or broadcasting news about new products, celebrities, panel discussions, advocacy and so on. Quickrelease.tv will pop up now and again, as will members of The Spokesmen podcast. There will be an Interbike-special recording of the Spokesmen podcast which will be open to industry bloggers not usually heard on the Spokesmen, including ‘Fritz’ from cyclelicio.us.
Last year, interview footage from the Media Center supplied 12 hours of live broadcast to attendees and exhibitors on the show floor and taped footage for video streaming on participating media companies’ web sites, such as Bicycling, Bike Magazine, BMXer, Cycling.tv, Dirt Rag, VitalBMX, VeloNews and World Cycling Productions.
The Official Media Center Technology Partner is, agaqin, Cycling.tv. This London-based narrowcaster provides the necessary equipment and technical experience for the television studio and also produce a daily live programme. Cycling.tv will also help Interbike produce its own daily interview show, Good Morning Interbike.
Limited time slots in the TV studio are still available, said Interbike. Interested parties should contact Chip Smith of SOAR Communications, [email protected] or tel: 801-523-3730. Interbike exhibitors interested in advertising or running pre-recorded video segments on the Interbike video feed network should contact the Interbike sales staff at [email protected] or call 949-226-5712.
