Cyclist attacks rookie cop
Or so says the rookie NYPD cop. He’s seen in this super-viral video, which has had 500,000 views in two days online:
Before the video surfaced, the cyclist - taking part in a fast-moving Critical Mass - was thrown in the slammer for 26 hours and was facing charges of assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
The rookie cop filed a report blaming the cyclist for swerving his bicycle towards him and using it as a weapon.
And then the video surfaced. Oops. The rookie cop has been suspended.
BikeSnob NYC has posted a on the fracas.
