		<description>As a skateboarder for 31 years, I can tell you that rumblings about skateboarding being a part of the Olympics have been around since the late 70's.

Believe me, not all skaters want to be a part of the Olympics and some are very upset that there seems to be some backdoor moves to ream it into the Olympics.

Skateboarding has a number of different disciplines, including street, vert, downhill and slalom. It is the last two that are actually measurable (time wise). But it's doubtful they'd ever make it into the Olympics - they're not the "right demo."

I posted this to let you know that not all skaters are happy with the IOC or our own "representatives" within skateboarding. There is a huge amount of anger over this from many skaters. We support this site's efforts to have transparency with this process. A process, I remind you that is causing a rift within skateboarding worldwide.</description>

		<description>and think of this McQuaid and Pound will get to get their jollies and bust more cyclists for taking non-performance enhancing drugs ... remember the snowboarder who was initially striped of his medal for THC in his blood ... we all know extreme sportsman have different ways to relax... not that I am saying that they necessarily do it themselves but secondhand smoke and all...</description>
