UNESCO org launches design-a-cycle-accessory competition
The Design 21 competition has a top prize of $5000.
“This competition calls for a biking accessory or add-on for existing bikes that would improve the bicycling experience and encourage more people to make biking their primary means of transport.”
The closing date is 30th April. One of the judges is Jens Martin Skibsted, founder of Danish bike company Biomega. A Puma folding bike, co-designed by Skibsted can be found in New York’s Musuem of Modern Art, MoMA. James of Bicycle Design has featured Skibsted’s work.
